Hospitality programmes are industry-driven and seek to provide the hotel industry with vocational, management and leadership talent to meet their current and future needs. Therefore, the teaching faculty should have practical work experience to provide the faculty with a realistic point of reference and add credibility vis-à-vis students and the industry. At SCCD, all trainers not only have the requisite industry experience but also hold relevant academic/industry qualification or are certified by City & Guilds (UK).
However, regardless of the hospitality experience new hospitality educators bring with them when they enter the teaching profession, this practical knowledge and experience age rapidly given today's frenetic pace of change brought about by technology and globalisation. SCCD's faculty maintains training currency and keeps abreast of industry developments through regular hotel pre-opening training projects and consulting for owners & developers of hotels and resorts in Myanmar.
Our faculty are responsible for the success and excellence of our programmes. In the classroom, you will find researchers, consultants, trainers, and above all, qualified and dedicated teachers. |
